Eye on Pop: What obstacles have you encountered as a new artist?
Nick Lusk: As a new artist, it’s extremely difficult to give people a reason to listen to you. You have to offer something that makes someone think, “Hey, they’re different!”
Eye on Pop: How do you stay driven in such a competitive field?
Nick Lusk: I stay driven through my passion. At the end of the day, I make music that conveys where I’ve been and done. The ability for others to listen is a major plus.
Eye on Pop: What’s the most valuable advice you’ve received about the music industry?
Nick Lusk: Stay true to yourself and your beliefs; that’s what people want to hear!
Eye on Pop: What strategies do you use to connect with your fans and grow your audience?

Eye on Pop: How important is social media in shaping your career?
Nick Lusk: As stated above, social media is one of the only ways to make it big nowadays. People want a diary-like view of your life.
Eye on Pop: Do you enjoy performing live or recording in the studio more? Why?
Nick Lusk: I’ve not had a ton of chances to play live, but seeing the emotion from others tops the studio in my eyes.

Nick Lusk: My first single release. It opened up the world to hear my story.
Eye on Pop: How do you get ready before going on stage?
Nick Lusk: I just keep in my mind why I’m here and why others are here. They want me to invoke emotion and that’s what I want to give them!
