Luke Bryan is sharing his cautionary tale after a fishing trip gone wrong.

The "Hooked On It" singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to show a very graphic video of two prongs of a fishing hook piercing his thumb during a fishing trip with his guitar tech Russ. "Dammit," he captioned the clip.

Fellow country singer Jake Owen commented on the video while jokingly referencing one of Bryan's No. 1 country hits from his 2016 album Kill the Lights: "Huntin, Fishin, lovin every day," he wrote.

While trying to remain in good spirits, Bryan filmed another video of himself on his IG Story visiting a medical center where the hook was removed, joking that he was "violating HIPAA somehow" while simultaneously groaning in pain and laughing.

But the American Idol judge already got right back into the swing of things once the hook came out. "We're back!" he declared in a separate video on his IG Story.
