Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s little girl was destined to be Jon Bon Jovi’s grandchild.
Just a month after the Stranger Things actress and the Rockbottom actor shared that they had adopted a baby daughter, the legendary rocker offered an update on becoming a grandfather during an appearance on Bunnie xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast. “It’s crazy, but great,” he said about welcoming a new family member. “Wonderful.” to Chris Pratt: ‘You Don’t Understand’
“They adopted a girl, and we met the baby, obviously, and right away, she feels like your grandchild, you know what I mean?” Bon Jovi explained, speaking for himself and his wife Dorothea Hurley. “Your baby. It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures nearly every day, I’ve already become that annoying guy asking for updates.”
Brown and Bongiovi shared the news on Aug. 21, writing in a joint message, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.”
“We are beyond excited to begin this wonderful new chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the couple added. “And then there were 3.”
Their announcement came about a year after the two tied the knot following three years of dating. At 21, Brown and 23, Bongiovi may seem young, but according to his father, they have shown real maturity in building a family together.
“They got married very young, but we gave them our blessing because we understood,” Bon Jovi told Bunnie xo, who is married to country singer Jelly Roll. “They’re wise beyond their age. Jake and Millie fell in love, and we thought, ‘Alright, we’ll support this.’ And it’s working out.”
When talking about the Enola Holmes star, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer was quick to praise her. “She’s a sweetheart, and she’s a hard worker. I always tell her how much I admire her, because her work ethic is incredible.”
Bon Jovi’s appearance on Dumb Blonde comes just as his band prepares to release Forever (Legendary Edition), an updated version of their 2024 album that includes collaborations with Avril Lavigne, Bruce Springsteen, James Bay, and others. Jelly Roll also makes an appearance on the new edition, lending his voice to “Living Proof,” which will be released on Oct. 24.
