KPop Demon Hunters star Ejae has tied the knot with her longtime partner, Samuel Kim.
On Monday, Vogue confirmed that the singer and songwriter, who voices Rumi in the hit animated film, married former music producer Samuel in Seoul, South Korea, on October 17.
The wedding location had deep personal meaning for the couple, as Ejae's grandparents once lived there.
"My grandparents lived in the house at the venue when I was a little girl," she told the publication. "I spent much of my childhood exploring the garden and walking with my grandfather in the hills behind the house... Bringing traditional Korean wedding ceremonies into our wedding weekend made the occasion incredibly meaningful for us and our family."
The Golden singer, whose birth name is Kim Eun jae, wore a specially designed Danielle Frankel gown for the ceremony before changing into a second dress by Zac Posen for the reception.
"I had admired Danielle's contemporary yet slightly unconventional interpretation of the traditional wedding dress for a long time, so I knew I wanted to contact her about creating something custom for me," the 34 year old explained. "From the moment we first met, Danielle understood exactly what I had in mind: something ethereal, modern, elegant and timeless, with a unique touch."
During the interview, Ejae also spoke about how happy she was to celebrate the occasion, with her KPop Demon Hunters co stars Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna among the guests.
"There was so much happiness to share," she said. "The ceremony was beautiful, emotional and full of fun."
Ejae and Samuel became engaged in late 2023 after first meeting at a songwriting session in 2017.
