Cruz Beckham has prompted talk of a possible music comeback for his mother, Victoria Beckham. The 21-year-old musician, who fronts the rising band The Breakers, shared a photo of the former Spice Girl standing behind a studio microphone on Monday (28.09.26).
He captioned the Instagram post: “Yeah we got posh back in the studio. (sic)”
The photo has led fans to wonder whether Victoria, 52, has recorded vocals for one of Cruz’s songs. Cruz is also the son of former footballer Sir David Beckham, 51, but he has yet to say what they were working on.
Next month, Cruz and The Breakers will tour with The Reytons.
The Reytons’ frontman Jonny Yerrell, 40, recently spoke up for Cruz, saying his music should be judged on its own merits rather than his family name.
The band, who have topped the charts, invited Cruz on tour after the two acts became friends over the summer.
“Cruz is an incredibly talented artist who deserves to be recognised outside the family name. We both receive a lot of criticism from opposite ends of the spectrum and we're fully expecting a lot more from this announcement… but this tour is about good people coming together to enjoy themselves! And that’s what we’re going to do regardless,” Jonny said.
Cruz has been making a name for himself over the past year. He released the EP Wear and Tear in August and has played Reading and Leeds, Lollapalooza and several headline shows. He and The Breakers will support the Rotherham band throughout the tour, along with Manchester musician Alex Spencer.
The tour starts in Dublin on October 9, then visits Belfast, Hull, Edinburgh, Cardiff and London before finishing at Co-Op Live in Manchester on October 30.
