Nicki Minaj has publicly apologized to Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture. The apology followed a string of heated remarks on X that once again sparked friction between the two rap stars. In recent days, things have gotten even more personal, as Nicki and Cardi’s long-running feud spilled over into insults directed at each other’s children.
In a post shared on Thursday night (Oct. 2), Minaj expressed regret for her words about Cardi’s daughter, where she had referred to her as a “roach” and “monkey.” She wrote, “Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose and one day you’ll understand… you’re a cute child & lots of kids have cute little funny looking gums before they grow into all of their features.”
Minaj expanded on her apology by pointing to her responsibilities as both a parent and a public figure. She continued, “I apologize. As a child of God & QUEEN of my community who look to me for integrity… you’re an innocent child & don’t deserve any of this.”
She also shifted part of the blame toward others, adding, “One day your mother, aunt & many more will be brought to their knees for what they’ve said AND TRIED to do to my young prophet/beautiful boy. Take care my darling. This isn’t who I am.”
The apology came after an especially fiery back-and-forth between Minaj and Cardi earlier this week. Cardi responded by defending her daughter and accusing Minaj of being envious and spiteful. She also warned Nicki to leave her children out of the drama, stating, “Let this be the LAST TIME you mention my kids.” Cardi added her own jab at Minaj’s son, writing on X, “Papa Bear I’m sorry you can’t speak and banging spoons because your mom couldn’t put the drugs down.”
As HNHH noted earlier today, Minaj returned to X to share more of her perspective on Cardi B. “Dear BLACK WOMEN, I can GUARANTEE YOU that h*e will never EVER get on my net & discuss another BLACK BABY AGAIN,” Nicki wrote. “I can GUARANTEE YOU that hoe will never EVER call black women roaches & monkeys AGAIN!!!!!!!!”
The long-running conflict between Minaj and Cardi B has been one of hip-hop’s most public rivalries, stretching back to around 2017–2018. Over the years, both rappers have thrown direct shots and subtle digs through social media, interviews, and public appearances, keeping the feud alive. In this latest flare-up, Nicki reignited tensions by making fun of Cardi’s daughter Kulture and by mocking Cardi’s personal relationships, including her ties to NFL star Stefon Diggs. The result has been yet another wave of online arguments and controversy.
Fans and those watching the music industry closely will now wait to see whether this apology signals a real change between the two rap heavyweights or if the feud will continue to burn.
