Richard Ashcroft took to the stage for a major performance at The O2 in London, where he paid tribute to Liam Gallagher and his late dog Betsy, while also introducing a new fashion collaboration with Sergio Tacchini x Modfather.
The concert was held on Saturday evening March 28 at the London venue as part of Ashcroft’s series of large headline shows planned for 2026. The performance also celebrated his seventh studio album Lovin’ You, which arrived last October.
During the show, Ashcroft opened with his 2016 track Hold On, then moved through more of his solo catalogue along with several songs from his years leading The Verve.
Following performances of Space And Time, Velvet Morning, Weeping Willow, and other tracks, Ashcroft performed the classic The Drugs Don’t Work, which he dedicated to his Jack Russell Betsy, who recently passed away.
Before starting the song, he called his late companion “beautiful” and shared that he wanted the moment to be for “anyone here who knows what it feels like to lose a pet”.
“They become such an important part of our lives and give us so much love, but it really hurts when the time comes to say goodbye,” he said. “This is for my wonderful Jack Russell. You are my family wherever you may be.”
Later in the set, Ashcroft performed a combined sequence of History, On Your Own, These People, and other songs before playing C’mon People (We’re Making It Now), which he dedicated to Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
The pair previously recorded a version of the song together for Ashcroft’s Acoustic Hymns Vol 1 album, and the former Verve singer also appeared with Oasis during their Live ‘25 reunion concerts last year. “I want to dedicate that one to Liam Gallagher,” he told the crowd, noting that their “voices work well together”, and adding that he would be open to “doing more together”, although Gallagher is “doing great already”.

Alongside the tour announcement, Ashcroft has once again partnered with Sergio Tacchini x Modfather to release a second fashion capsule collection.
The range continues to draw inspiration from British youth culture and combines mod influences, military style outerwear, and Sergio’s signature tennis inspired look. This latest collaboration follows the Richard Ashcroft x Sergio Tacchini limited collection released in summer 2025, around the same period he was performing with Oasis.
The latest drop also reflects Ashcroft’s long standing habit of wearing field jackets on stage, which inspired the addition of two retro military style outerwear designs. The limited jackets come in two traditional camouflage patterns, each featuring a gold zip pull, a gold Sergio Tacchini chest logo, and RA detailing.

“I had the chance to be at Heaton Park last summer watching Richard Ashcroft perform with Oasis. When he stepped out and took off his black leather Harrington, he had on our Sergio Tacchini Track Jacket and T shirt, which completely caught me off guard,” said Daniel Warner, Co Owner of Modfather.
“I can honestly say I got emotional. I have followed Richard’s music and fashion for years, so seeing that moment felt unreal and unforgettable. I am excited to see him perform at the O2 this weekend and Alexandra Palace later this summer.”
Along with his upcoming solo tour, Ashcroft is also scheduled to headline Sheffield’s Rock N’ Roll Circus later this year, as well as Victorious Festival in Portsmouth, Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, and TRNSMT in Glasgow.
