Kanye West has confirmed a special one off live appearance in the Netherlands, which will mark his first headline concert in Europe since 2014. Full information can be found below.
The outspoken artist is set to perform at the GelreDome in Arnhem on Saturday June 6, delivering what has been described as a one night only event.
According to an official press statement, the venue holds up to 41,000 people and features a retractable roof, making it one of the biggest indoor arenas in the Netherlands.
An event listing describes the upcoming show as “a rare and unmissable moment for Ye’s fans”, adding: “This will not be a standard concert. It’s a moment like his last show at GelreDome in 2012, still talked about today in the Netherlands.”
Tickets will be released to the general public at 10am CET this Friday February 13 and can be purchased here. Fans can also access a pre sale beginning at the same time on Thursday February 12 by signing up here.
The concert will be West’s first European headline appearance in 12 years and his first time performing in the Netherlands since 2013. The Arnhem date will kick off his return to Europe, with a further performance already lined up in Reggio Emilia, Italy on July 18.
His Netherlands appearance is expected to launch a short run of European shows, with indications that additional dates may be announced soon.
A GelreDome representative said: “We look forward to welcoming Ye to GelreDome. This is an event of international scale and a special moment for Dutch audiences. We expect significant demand.”
During 2023 and 2024, West staged several European listening events for his joint project with Ty Dolla $ign, known as the “‘Vultures’ Listening Experience”. He also brought his Sunday Service choir to Paris in March 2020, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
At the time, West had intended to take Sunday Service on a worldwide tour, though those plans were ultimately shelved due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
In 2016, West was forced to scrap the UK and European dates of his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour.
The artist is currently preparing to release his next studio album, ‘Bully’, which is scheduled to arrive on March 20. Last month, he stated that his recent apology for previous anti Semitic remarks was unrelated to the new album and was not an effort to “revive” his career.
His most recent solo releases were ‘Donda’ in 2021 and ‘Donda 2’ in 2022.
