Californian singer songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart in the UK for the first time as a solo artist with her third studio album, Lost Weekend.
The achievement follows her 2022 album Punisher, which previously reached Number 6. Bridgers also claimed the top spot in the UK in 2023 as part of indie supergroup boygenius, alongside Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, with the group’s record.
Lost Weekend also leads both the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart this week. The achievement gives independent Indiana based label Dead Oceans its first ever UK Number 1 album.
KATSEYE took the Number 2 spot with their third EP, WILD. The result is the highest chart position yet for Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae, surpassing their 2025 project BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which reached Number 55. The chart success comes just before the group begins its UK dates for THE WILDWORLD TOUR next month.
Irish rock group The Script opened at Number 3 with The User’s Guide To Being Human, giving them their ninth album to reach the UK Top 10. Electronic trio Jungle, made up of Josh Lloyd Watson, Tom McFarland, and Lydia Kitto, followed at Number 4 with their fifth studio album, Sunshine. The release continues the group’s impressive record of having every studio album land inside the UK Top 10. Michael Jackson’s compilation The Essential completed the Top 5.
Elsewhere, Kris Barras Band picked up their third Top 40 album with Monsters We Made, which debuted at Number 21. Marilyn Manson also scored his 12th UK Top 40 album, with One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 entering at Number 27. Ariana Grande’s 2024 album eternal sunshine also made a major jump, rising 58 places to Number 15 as her ongoing residency at London’s The O2 continues.
