Kesha has shared that she owns a necklace made in part from her own placenta.
While appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday, the Tik Tok singer showed host Alex Cooper the unique piece of jewellery and explained the unusual story behind it.
"Throw it in the blender, pop it in a necklace. Work!" she said, revealing the gold pendant contains powdered placenta. "So your placenta supposedly gives you second sight, helps open your third eye. This is according to my mother. So she stuck it in the oven. She put it in a box, and she found it when I was like 21 years old in the basement."
Kesha then joked that she feels a bit like a “cult leader” because of her fascination with rituals and spiritual practices.
“And I just... I love a ritual that reminds me of this, like, esoteric world I prefer to live in. Like down here on Earth, boring. But like, when I go up into, like, with my spirit guides and the whole realm of angels... that's where I prefer to be. It's kind of fun,” the 39 year old said with a smile.
The We R Who We R star also revealed that she keeps teeth from people and pets she cares about and sometimes uses them in artwork or jewellery.
"It just reminds me when I have a little piece of the people I love," she explained. "I've been collecting them for a while now... My cats had to get their little teeth taken out, their little kitty wisdom teeth. I collect those too. I'm like the tooth fairy."
Elsewhere during the interview, Kesha spoke honestly about regretting her past use of cosmetic fillers.
"I went through a horrible filler phase. God, that sucked," the Your Love Is My Drug singer admitted. "Because I was like, 'Oh, that's what I should do.' And then I'm like, 'I actually don't like the way that looks.' It's this constant dance with society on what it does mean to be a woman and what is acceptable and also, we're not supposed to age. Trust me, I don't want to. But like, I don't know what else to do."
Kesha released her sixth studio album, Period, in July 2025 and is currently promoting her latest track, Origami.
