Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married. The global pop star and the NFL standout exchanged vows on Friday evening during a lavish wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with reports claiming around 1,000 guests were in attendance.
Confirming the marriage, Swift's longtime publicist, Tree Paine, offered a brief statement, saying simply, "Just married."
According to USA Today, the ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler. Rather than having traditional bridal parties, the couple chose to keep things personal, with Taylor's brother, Austin Swift, serving as her "man of honour" and Travis's brother, Jason Kelce, standing beside him as best man.
Taylor reportedly wore a custom haute couture wedding gown created by Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior.
The celebration attracted an impressive lineup of celebrity guests, including Lena Dunham, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Jack Antonoff, Hugh Grant, Benson Boone, Dakota Johnson, Nikki Glaser, Sombr, Mariska Hargitay, and Patrick Mahomes.
Taylor, 36, and Travis, 36, first sparked a romance in the summer of 2023 after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed on his New Heights podcast that he had attempted to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number during an Eras Tour concert.
Their relationship became public in September 2023 when Taylor attended one of Travis's NFL games, fueling widespread speculation that the two were dating.
In Taylor's 2025 docuseries, The End of an Era, her mother, Andrea Swift, revealed that she encouraged her daughter to reach out after hearing about Travis's now famous friendship bracelet story.
"It was so earnest," Andrea explained. "I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world that he came to your show, he brought you something from your world... I liked it."
Taylor added, "You called me up with this tone of, 'Hey, so I know you're not gonna react well to this. But there's a guy.' You said something to the effect of, 'You've got to start doing something different.'"
After two years together, the couple announced their engagement in August 2025. Sharing photos of Travis's proposal in a rose filled garden, they captioned the post, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
The announcement quickly became one of Instagram's most popular posts, amassing 37.5 million likes.
