Artist Spotlight: William Butler

William Butler doesn’t need to go far for inspiration to strike during the songwriting process. “Writing was a gift,” he shares.
 
We had the privilege of sitting down with William Butler for an intimate conversation on music, meaning, and evolution.

Eye On Pop: What motivates you to keep creating music, even during challenging times?

William Butler: My love for music is my motivation. 

Eye On Pop: Can you share the story behind your latest album or single?

William Butler: HEY LORD, expresses God’s sovereignty  over our lives.

Eye On Pop: How do you balance staying true to your artistic vision with commercial success?

William Butler: By staying true artistically, rather than changing horses in the middle of the screen. 

Eye On Pop: What has been the most unexpected lesson you've learned as an artist?

William Butler: Hard work!

Eye On Pop: How do you handle criticism or feedback from fans and critics?

William Butler: I take them both as a stepping stone.

Eye On Pop: What role does technology play in your music production and promotion?

William Butler: Technology gives me the advantage over radio, and word of mouth.

Eye On Pop: Are there any artists or genres you haven’t worked with yet but would love to collaborate with?

William Butler: I would live to collaborate  with Donnie Mc Loughlin.

Eye On Pop: How do you stay inspired and avoid creative burnout?

William Butler: My inspiration comes from the Holy Spirit , where there is no burnout.

Eye On Pop: What advice would you give to aspiring musicians trying to break into the industry?

William Butler: Stay true to your craft and it will stay true to you.

Eye On Pop: If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

William Butler: I would love to perform in Los Angeles , at the Hollywood Bowl., Because big things start from there.
