Welcome to SOUND ADVICE, Interview’s weekly home for playlists shaped by our friends, our rivals, and the people we adore. In the past few weeks, we have spotlighted mixes from Montell Fish, Allie X, and Bugonia composer Jerskin Fendrix. This time, we are handing control to LSDXOXO, the Philadelphia born and Berlin based DJ and producer who turns pure indulgence into something artful. Growing out of New York’s GHE20GOTH1K community, RJ Glasgow has built a universe where industrial techno blends with R and B and pleasure becomes something to embrace. His newest mixtape DGTL ANML, released through his own label and featuring collaborators such as Shygirl, COBRAH, and Boys Noize, continues to expand that idea. Since then, he has brought his sound from Club Shy all the way to Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour and FKA Twigs’ EUSEXUA show. Before his upcoming Seismic Dance Event set in Austin this weekend, he created a playlist designed to move your body. And dancing, as he told us in his Sound Advice questionnaire, is “40% sexy, 60% awkward, 100% therapeutic.”

Where do you dance? At work, mostly. I’m either usually dancing to one of my friend’s sets or one of my own. It’s lovely to have buddies with good taste in music!

How do you dance? That depends on how weird we’re getting. 40% of my dancing is sexy. 60% of it is awkward. 100% of it is therapeutic.

Name an underrated SoundCloud artist that more people should know about. More people should know about Swank Mami. She’s allergic to making a bad song.

The world is ending. What are you wearing? A suit of armor, perhaps. I’d have it customized for sure. That and my favorite Chanel sunnies.

What did success solve for you? Less time waiting in lines?

Which song on this playlist do you want to remix? “LV Sandals” by EssDeeKid and FakeMink is one of my favs right now. Haven’t done an unofficial remix in quite some time, but I think the time’s come.

Which song on this playlist makes you cry? “Room for Happiness” by Kaskade and Skylar Grey. Kaskade is an undercover tearjerker.

Which song on this playlist makes you feel powerful? “Rose Rouge” by St. Germain. It’s on my cleaning and cooking playlist at home, so it helps me to get lots done.

Dream collab, living or dead? Kylie Minogue. Thankfully our queen is still very much alive.

Name your pre-game drink of choice. Usually, it’s an espresso martini or an Amaretto sour.

What’s the best club in Berlin? I don’t know about the best club in Berlin, but I’ve never failed to have an amazing time at OHM.

You’re about to play a festival in Austin. What’s your favorite Southern comfort food? I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, so I’d say peach cobbler or banana pudding.

Who do you trust most with the aux? Any bartender! They’re secretly the best DJs.
