Jack Harlow has confirmed that his fourth studio album, Monica, is set for release on March 13.
The record was developed over the course of a year of writing sessions at New York’s legendary Electric Lady Studios and takes inspiration from the Louisville rapper’s recent relocation to The City That Never Sleeps.
In an earlier interview with Rolling Stone, Harlow opened up about how a change of scenery influences his creativity, explaining: “When I move somewhere new, I start seeing myself differently. It shakes something loose. That’s when the songs start coming.”
Electric Lady, the historic Greenwich Village studio founded by Jimi Hendrix and known for hosting sessions by David Bowie, Patti Smith, Kanye West and Beyoncé, served as the creative base for this new phase of Harlow’s career.
Although he has not yet shared the full tracklist or confirmed any featured artists, Harlow has previously suggested that the new songs reflect a more introspective and down to earth outlook.
During a 2022 conversation with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, he shared: “I’m always trying to get closer to who I really am on these records. Every album is me peeling back another layer.”
Pre orders for Monica on vinyl are now available, offering fans an early opportunity to secure physical copies ahead of release day.
Harlow’s previous studio album, Jackman, arrived in 2023.
Since then, he dropped the single Set You Free in February last year, following his 2024 releases Hello Miss Johnson and Tranquility.
He also joined forces with fellow rapper Doja Cat, who he once described as his crush, for their collaboration Just Us.
