‘Be With You’ will feature on ‘The WOW! Signal’, which arrives on June 26 through Warner. The album follows their previous release, 2022’s ‘Will Of The People’.
A press statement explains that the album title is inspired by one of the most intriguing space related discoveries of the twentieth century. It references “a powerful 72 second radio burst detected in 1977 originating from the constellation Sagittarius with a bandwidth and intensity that suggested a possible extraterrestrial source”.
“The astronomer who discovered the anomaly famously circled the now iconic sequence ‘6EQUJ5’ and wrote ‘WOW!’ on the printout beside it, giving the signal its name and cementing its place in scientific and pop culture lore,” the statement continues.
The 10 song album is described as covering “a mix of cosmic mystery, existential hope, and the exhilarating possibility of contact with something far greater than ourselves”. It will also feature the 2025 track ‘Unravelling’.
Additional tracks confirmed for ‘The WOW! Signal’ include ‘Nightshift Superstar’, ‘Shimmering Scars’, ‘The Sickness In You & I’ and ‘Space Debris’. Since the announcement, listeners have been reacting to the new material across social media platforms.
‘Be With You’ also arrived alongside a cinematic music video featuring Ella Balinska from Resident Evil and The Occupant. The visual was directed by Nico Paolillo, who is known for his work with Deafheaven and Bad Omens. Fans have continued to share their reactions online.
Muse also toured across Europe last year, which included a headline performance at Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival where they filled in for Kings Of Leon.
NME praised the performance as an “era spanning, revolutionary space tacular” and noted how “Matt Bellamy and co easing into their new cycle with riffs and revolution”.
